Our Green Tomorrow 2026 once again unites municipalities and local communities for a greener environment
We have launched Our Green Tomorrow 2026 – a long-term initiative by GEOTECHMIN GROUP aimed at creating a greener, more beautiful and more sustainable living environment. The campaign is carried out in partnership with eight municipalities in Sofia region – Anton, Etropole, Zlatitsa, Koprivshtitsa, Mirkovo, Pirdop, Chavdar and Chelopech, where the Group’s companies operate.
‘I am so happy that we are continuing the Our Green Tomorrow initiative this year, which has been an important part of our sustainability efforts since 2011. With every tree planted and every space beautified, we are not only improving the environment around us, but also fostering a sense of care and responsibility toward nature and future generations. It is particularly important to us that children, students, volunteers and local communities take an active part in the initiative,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD.
This year’s campaign started on Earth Day in Etropole Municipality and later continued in Pirdop, Anton, Chavdar, Chelopech and Koprivshtitsa. The activities included the planting of trees, ornamental shrubs, flowers and bee-friendly plant species, as well as the landscaping of parks, alleys and public spaces across the municipalities. Representatives of local authorities, employees of GEOTECHMIN GROUP companies, students, teachers, children and volunteers participated actively in the activities.
Our Green Tomorrow is funded through donations from Geotechmin OOD, Ellatzite-Med AD, Geostroy AD and Geotrading AD, and is part of the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, initiated by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov.
Over the years, the initiative has gained recognition as a model of successful partnership between businesses, local authorities and communities, benefiting both people and nature. The campaign continues this autumn with new green projects and tree-planting initiatives in Zlatitsa and Mirkovo Municipalities.
