Ellatzite-Med donates a new playground to the children of Benkovski village
Nearly 30 children in the village of Benkovski are enjoying a new, modern playground thanks to an initiative by the Mayor of Mirkovo Municipality Mrs Tsvetanka Yotina and a donation from Ellatzite-Med AD.
The playground is equipped with swings, slides, climbers and shock-absorbing flooring to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the children to play.
Mayor Tsvetanka Yotina emphasized that the municipality continues to implement projects for improving public infrastructure and quality of life in all its settlements, thanks to its long-standing partnership with Ellatzite-Med AD and GEOTECHMIN GROUP.
Speaking on behalf of the donors, M.Eng. Ivan Kunchev, Director of the Flotation Complex at Ellatzite-Med AD, stated that supporting initiatives that uplift and benefit children is one of the company’s most vital philanthropic causes.
‘It gives us great satisfaction to support projects that contribute to children’s health, development and happiness. We are pleased to have completed one more project together with Mirkovo Municipality that brings joy to the youngest residents of Benkovski village,’ said M.Eng. Kunchev.
The construction of the new children’s playground is part of the long-term commitment of GEOTECHMIN GROUP companies to supporting local communities. Through the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme and donations from Ellatzite-Med AD, dozens of playgrounds have been recently built or renovated in the communities where the companies operate, providing children with safe and welcoming places to play and develop.
The official opening was attended by the Mayor of Mirkovo Municipality Mrs Tsvetanka Yotina; Deputy Mayor Velko Lisev; Municipal Secretary Tsveta Popova; M.Eng. Ivan Kunchev, Director of the Flotation Complex at Ellatzite-Med AD; Mrs Daniela Teofanova, Director of Public Relations Department at Geotechmin OOD; Mr Todor Ivanov, Head of Communications Department at Ellatzite-Med AD; representatives of the project contractor; and local residents and children.
