The hospital in Etropole is a municipal health care institution of great public importance. It serves, diagnoses and treats not only the local residents, but also patients from other regions – Botevgrad, Pravets, Zlatitsa, Yablanitsa, and Teteven. Its professional staff has a proven track record and recognized authority in providing quality healthcare services.
The Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme was set up by the President of Geotechmin Prof. Dr. Tzolo Voutov
. In 2020, on his initiative, partnership agreements were signed to support socially significant projects in five municipalities by reason of anticipated consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the event, the Hospital Manager Dr Galya Vasileva awarded Prof. Tzolo Voutov with an Honorary Certificate for his kindness, humanity and generosity and handed out appreciation certificates to the four companies for the donations they have made.
In her welcoming speech, Dr Vasileva stated, ‘I would like to say a huge thank you to all companies in the big GEOTECHMIN GROUP’s family for this noble gesture to repair the roof of our hospital. We all know that the roof has not been renovated since the hospital building was built.’ And she added, ‘We are also profoundly grateful for the exceptional support, especially during the emergency epidemic situation in 2020 when the health system was facing serious challenges, we received a donation of medical equipment from GEOTECHMIN GROUP. Thank you for your great help, Prof. Voutov, M.Eng. Draganov, PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov – Executive Director of Geostroy AD, and PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geotrading AD.’
Mayor Dimitar Dimitrov extended his sincere gratitude to the four companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP and its President Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov for providing their benevolent support to Etropole Municipality and added, ‘This event has been our second gathering within a month, which evidences that the partnership agreement we have signed is viable and our joint projects are being implemented successfully. The major repairs to the hospital’s roof are another substantial investment. The Municipal Council of Etropole supports this agreement, we truly appreciate your help and we are going to concentrate our future joint efforts mainly in the spheres of healthcare and education.’ Mr Dimitrov also thanked Dr Vasileva for her commitment and good management of the hospital and reminded that just a few years ago the hospital had debts, but now all of them are paid off. ‘This shows that the hospital has been managed in the right direction, developing sustainable practices and improvements,’ said the Mayor of Etropole Municipality.
‘This project was implemented with care for the local population, among whom are employees of GEOTECHMIN GROUP. The donation for renovation of the hospital is a continuation of the Group’s policy for implementing projects in several areas of corporate social responsibility, in which the President of Geotechmin Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov is personally engaged,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers. And he added, ‘The renovation of MHAT “Prof. Dr Alexander Gerchev” was an important social project for us, as we are all witnessing how doctors and nurses are fighting to safeguard the lives of everyone affected and cope with the pandemic. Improving the working conditions within the hospital is important for both healthcare practitioners and patients who come here to seek medical help.’ Mr Hamers emphasized the role of the municipality and thanked the Mayor Dimitar Dimitrov for the fruitful cooperation, enthusiasm and dedication.
At the beginning of 2021, another major project for Etropole community was completed under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme – Renovation of Hristo Yasenov Secondary School, which created an improved learning environment for more than 700 students.
