Geostroy presented Green Rust – a successful cutting-edge project

M.Eng. Peter Yordanov, Quality H&S and Ecology Director at Geostroy AD, gave a presentation titled “Green Rust – a Successful Cutting-Edge Project” at the International Scientific Conference on Geotechnological Methods of Uranium Extraction organized by the Scientific and Technical Union of Mining, Geology and Metallurgy. The report was dedicated to an innovative technology for on-site treatment of uranium-bearing, heavy metal and metalloid polluted waters. The technology was invented by the Japanese company Mitsubishi Materials Techno Corporation (MMTEC) and was successfully implemented by Geotechmin OOD and Geostroy AD.
Thanks to their fruitful long-standing collaboration, Geotechmin OOD and MMTEC signed a Framework Agreement for long-term technical cooperation in 2013, which envisages joint activities on the construction of wastewater treatment facilities in Bulgaria and abroad. The main activity of Geostroy AD is focused on the execution of all works relating to the exploitation of the wastewater treatment plant and effective removal of heavy metals, radionuclides and other pollutants. ‘The project is called “Green Rust”, derived from the name of the pioneering technology developed by the Japanese company,’ said M.Eng. Yordanov at the conference.
