Renovated Edelweiss Kindergarten in Etropole offers greater comfort thanks to Bulgarian Virtues Programme

‘You have made our kindergarten a beautiful and cozy place where we can dream, play and learn with even more inspiration. We sincerely thank you for being part of our childhood. We send you our smiles, our songs and a big hug – we love you!’ With these touching words, the children at Edelweiss Kindergarten in the town of Etropole expressed their gratitude to the donors from GEOTECHMIN GROUP and to Etropole Mayor Vladimir Aleksandrov. Just in time for the new school year, the long-unrenovated kitchen was completely refurbished thanks to a donation from the
Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme. In addition, major repairs were made to the sanitary facilities serving three kindergarten classrooms. Last year, three other sanitary facilities in the kindergarten were renovated under the same programme.

‘I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mayor M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, PhD Eng. Vladimir Voutov, PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov, M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov and Mr Dominic Hamers for the general overhaul in our kindergarten. To all of you who signed the decision to renovate and give our kindergarten a new, modern look, this was all done for the children. Thank you!’ said Mrs Tatyana Marinova, Principal of Edelweiss Kindergarten, in her welcome speech.

The children performed the play “Where Does Happiness Live?” for the official guests. At the end, they recited together: ‘Dear friends, we may be small, but our hearts are big. Thank you for helping us have fun games and a cozy, welcoming kindergarten. With your help, everything feels brighter and more beautiful. We send you our smiles, our songs and a big hug – we love you!’

‘I was here last year and I remember very well how warmly you welcomed us, but I did not expect such an amazing performance. Children, you were absolutely marvelous! Congratulations to Mrs Marinova and the entire team. I believe you will always find happiness in everything you do,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD. He also thanked the Mayor of Etropole M.Eng. Aleksandrov for his dedication to addressing local residents’ needs and for the projects he puts forward for funding through the Bulgarian Virtues Programme. ‘Fortunately, we have the support of Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov to bring these projects to life’ added Mr Dominic Hamers.

‘The theme is happiness. But happiness is not just a one-time event – it is something we build together. True happiness comes from the people around us: our loved ones, our supporters, those who care. Today I am a happy mayor because behind me – behind the cause of our town’s development – stands GEOTECHMIN GROUP. They have helped us solve a long-standing problem: to undertake major renovations of the kindergarten kitchen, replacing all kitchen appliances and equipment, and to renovate the sanitary facilities. This makes me happy,’ said Mayor M.Eng. Aleksandrov.
