Ellatzite-Med honoured by Bulgarian Energy & Mining Forum for launching the most ambitious development programme
Ellatzite-Med AD, part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, received the prestigious award for “Most Ambitious Mining Development Programme” given by the Bulgarian Energy & Mining Forum (BEMF). The company was honoured for its comprehensive development strategy and planned investments of over BGN 1.2 billion for the project for extending the life of Ellatzite mine until 2041. The prize was presented by Deputy Energy Minister Nikolay Nikolov to M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov, General Production Director at Ellatzite-Med AD. The awards were bestowed after careful assessment by a 12-member jury.

It is a proof of high appreciation to us that we are on the right track with our long-term strategy for development of the mining complex. We are going to invest more than BGN 1.2 billion in innovations and modern technologies, which will enhance our sustainable development and will ensure full employment to our employees in the future. By doing so, we will boost the socio-economic development of the five municipalities where we operate,’ said General Production Director M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov.
BEMF presented its annual awards for outstanding achievements in the energy and mining industries in 2023 at a special event in Sofia.
