GEOTECHMIN GROUP shines with 5 prestigious awards on Miner’s Day

At the national celebration of Miner’s Day (18 August), four companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP were honoured with a total of five prestigious awards, recognizing their exceptional achievements and long-standing contributions to Bulgaria’s mineral resources industry.

Ellatzite-Med AD, marking its 50th anniversary, and Geostroy AD, Geotrading AD and Geoproject EOOD, each celebrating 20 years since their founding, were awarded honorary plaques. In addition, Ellatzite-Med AD received the annual Safety and Health Award in recognition of its exemplary commitment to workplace safety, having achieved zero injuries over the past year.

‘The remarkable success of Ellatzite-Med under the visionary leadership of Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov is highlighted by significant engineering, technical, environmental and social achievements, establishing the company as a leader in the mining industry. The anniversary motto Together, We Are Building a Better Tomorrow reflects the spirit of continuity, cooperation and shared efforts that has shaped the company’s success and sustainable future,’ said Associate Professor PhD Eng. Ivan Mitev, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology (BMGK). The honorary plaque recognizing the company’s contribution to the Bulgarian mining industry was presented by the Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov.

‘Fifty years is a remarkable milestone for any company. Thanks to the clear priorities set by the Management and Supervisory Boards and the dedication of our high-performing team, we have overcome challenges and reinforced our reputation as a leader in the Bulgarian mining industry, even while working with some of lowest-grade ores in the world. I wish the company continued success and a long, prosperous future beyond 2041,’ said the Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov.
The Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov also presented awards to the other companies marking milestone anniversaries.
The award for Geostroy AD, a company with more than 250 successfully completed projects and notable achievements and innovations – including in underground construction – was received by M.Eng. Yordan Yonov, Executive Director. He stated that he accepted the award on behalf of the company and all his colleagues with great pride.
The award for Geotrading AD, a rapidly developing, stable and reliable partner in the supply of mining equipment in Bulgaria and across the Balkan region, was presented to Mrs Rumyana Ivanova, Executive Director. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude on behalf of PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the company’s team.
The award for Geoproject EOOD, a company with long-standing experience in the comprehensive design of industrial, civil and environmental projects, was received by the company’s manager M.Eng. Valentin Ketipov.
The Minister of Labour and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov presented an honorary plaque and a certificate of appreciation to M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov, General Director of Ellatzite-Med AD in recognition of the company’s commitment to ensuring safe and healthy working conditions.

This award stands as a tribute to our efforts and the dedication of our entire team. I would like to thank all my colleagues for their hard work and wish them even greater achievements in the future,’ said M.Eng. Dimitrov.
