GEOTECHMIN GROUP donates a new monument to honour Bulgarian hero Levski in Etropole
The commemorative event was attended by National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova, Vice President Iliana Iotova, Mayor of Etropole M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov, Etropole Municipal Council Chair Boryana Keremidska, as well as numerous officials, local residents and guests who gathered to pay tribute to Bulgaria’s great hero.
His Eminence Metropolitan Gavriil of Lovech conducted a solemn water blessing service.
During the ceremony, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov emphasised the importance of preserving national identity. ‘This monument honours not only the hero himself, but also the generations who have kept his memory alive. As investors and employers in Etropole Municipality, we at GEOTECHMIN GROUP feel a profound responsibility to support social causes that strengthen our national identity and bring us together. Over the years, we have consistently demonstrated this commitment. This monument, one of our many donation initiatives, holds a special place in our hearts.’ Prof. Voutov expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mayor M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov, sculptor Krasimir Angelov, architect Stanislav Konstantinov, and all those who continue to carry forward Vassil Levski’s ideals – through their work, their words, and their hearts.
This is the second monument dedicated to Vassil Levski, following the Memorial Complex near the village of Bunovo in Mirkovo Municipality, opened in 2007 thanks to a donation from Ellatzite-Med AD.
