Geotechmin celebrates 35 years by honouring the people behind its success
In a series of celebratory events marking its 35th anniversary, Geotechmin OOD presented jubilee medals to its current and former employees who have contributed to the company’s success. The company also honoured its long-standing partners for their commitment and dedicated service. These events expressed gratitude to the people who laid the foundations of Geotechmin OOD, supported its development over the years, and continue to work toward its sustainable future.
Among those recognized were the President of Geotechmin OOD Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, the Vice-Presidents PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov and PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov, the Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD Mr Dominic Hamers, senior managers of the companies in the Group, and former and current employees.
In his welcoming speech to the attendees, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov emphasized that the long-term success of Geotechmin OOD is primarily due to its people – their dedication, professionalism, loyalty, and continuity between generations. He expressed his delight at the presence of so many young professionals and quoted the phrase used by Pope Francis “Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire” – the fire that must be passed on from older to younger generations.
‘We were three people at the beginning. Today, GEOTECHMIN GROUP boasts nearly 4,000 employees, operating in various business sectors. This would not have been possible without our people – those who laid the solid foundations of the company through their hard work over the years, those who work here today, and those who have continued their professional careers in other companies within the Group,’ said Prof. Voutov. He also noted that the industrial group has strong prospects for development in the coming years.
The Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD Mr Dominic Hamers expressed his deep gratitude to Prof. Voutov for his leadership, emphasizing that the values of responsibility, integrity, teamwork and innovation are at the heart of the company’s success and the trust among its teams.
During the celebrations, jubilee medals were also presented to professionals who started their careers at Geotechmin OOD and now work at other companies within GEOTECHMIN GROUP. Many of them took their first steps as young specialists and now hold key management and expert positions.

The anniversary events once again confirmed Geotechmin’s philosophy that its success and sustainable development are the result of the in-depth knowledge, experience and responsibility of its teams – those who built the company, those who are developing it today, and the young professionals who will carry the torch into the future and ensure its long-term success.
