Ellatzite-Med wins a prestigious award at Young Engineer of the Year 2017
Winners in the competition Young Engineer of the Year 2017 were awarded at a solemn ceremony during the annual meeting of the Managing Board of the Federation of the Scientific Engineering Unions in Bulgaria (FSEU). One of the awards was bestowed upon M.Eng. Milko Krastev, head of Drill and Blast Operations Section in Ellatzite-Med AD. This prestigious prize was given to him on the basis of a nomination submitted by the Scientific and Technical Union of Mining, Geology and Metallurgy.
The selection criteria in evaluating the candidates include: social significance of their all-round professional activities, creation and implementation of new technological and production processes, proven economic benefits of their engineering activities, evidence of positive social results from their engineering activities. The performance of the nominees was reviewed and evaluated by a jury consisting of Prof. Georgi Popov – Chairman, and members: Prof. Kosta Boshnakov, M.Eng. Marin Antonov, Dr.Eng. Kremena Dedelyanova, Dr.Eng. Boyko Denchev and M.Eng. Nevena Doncheva. M.Eng. Milko Krastev participates in project teams for development and implementation of high-profile projects, mentoring and internship programmes. On the occasion of receiving this prominent award he said, ‘I hope that I will continue to develop my professional skills and gain practical mining experience in the future. This award is a great honour and recognition for me and my hard work.’
