Bulgaria with a new memorial of Vasil Levski

In July 2007, on the occasion of the 170-th birthday anniversary of Vasil Levski, an impressive memorial complex with a grand statue of the Apostle of Liberty in its centre was officially inaugurated in Galabetz Region near the village of Bunovo.

The sculpture of the great Bulgarian was made by Yordan Krachmarov and the overall design was provided by architect Atanasov. The resources for the construction of this impressive monument of the Apostle of Liberty were donated by Geotechmin и Ellatzite-Med AD.


The memorial was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov.
