On May 22, 2009 micro hydropower plant “Svrazhen” was put into operation in the presence of parliament members, Italian investors and bankers, local authorities and journalists.
Geotechmin OOD announces the launching of a trainee program in July and August 2009. The program is part of the company’s strategy for supporting the professional development and qualification of young people in Bulgaria.
The successful completion of the construction of Metrostation 9-I “Vassil Levski Stadium”, implemented in close cooperation with the Japanese specialists from Taisei Corporation, has raised Geotechmin’s confidence in its ability for independent realization of such underground projects.
On December 12, 1990 three mining engineers established Geotechmin OOD to provide consulting and engineering services for the mining industry in Bulgaria.
Since then the company has developed its range of activities to include industrial, infrastructural, civil and environmental engineering and construction as well as real estate development. Geotechmin has also been operating successfully “Ellatzite” mine – the largest copper and gold open pit in Bulgaria.
Today the GEOTECHMIN group consists of 5 business units, namely Mining, Construction, Infrastructure, Environment, Real estate and is represented by 21 companies with a total work force of some 4,600 people.
