Ulichno Osvetlenie EAD was privatized and acquired by the GEOTECHMIN group in 2007.

The company under the name Ulichno Osvetlenie (meaning “street lighting”) was established in 2001 as a result of reformations of the municipal structures in the field of construction and maintenance of the street lighting in Sofia.

For more than 30 years the company has been engaged in the installation, exploitation and maintenance of the capital’s street lighting. Today, Ulichno osvetlenie EAD continues and develops these activities. Another important aspect of the company’s work is the installation of architectural lighting as well as lighting for advertisement and information signs.

Ulichno Osvetlenie EAD has a license for the establishment, maintenance and operation of telecommunications network issued by the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC).

The company is currently planning to develop an investment program for modernization of the available machinery and facilities, efficient management and raising the services’ quality.

The strategic goals of Ulichno Osvetlenie EAD include the adoption of innovative technologies, modern management methods and systems, and measures for improving the power efficiency of street lighting.
