Transmineral-GTM EOOD was privatized by Geotechmin OOD in 1998. Its main activity is extraction and processing of natural lining materials, and it has an annual cutting and polishing capacity of 8,000 sq.m. for limestone and marble, and 1,000 sq.m. for granite. The company exploits the granite quarry “Bozhema” for the production of stone articles in the village of Slivovo, Bourgas region, as well as a production plant in the Dolno Ezerovo district of Bourgas. In 2007 the extraction of granite blocks and the manufacturing of stone products, such as paving stones, curbs, plates, crumbled stone for masonry, doubled compared to the previous year. The products find a good market in Austria and Greece. Transmineral- GTM EOOD has a long-term contract with SZ-Consulting GmbH for delivery of paving stones and curbs to Austria. The company plans to expand its trade activities in other countries of the European Union and to the east – in Russia and the Ukraine. The plant in the Dolno Ezerovo district is engaged mainly in the production of labor-consuming and sophisticated parts, such as window-sills and balcony panels, caps, stairs and board joints of various shapes and sizes made of Bulgarian materials – mostly granite and limestone. These products are mainly distributed to the Black Sea region. Transmineral-GTM EOOD aims to increase extraction and production and to enlarge its range of products maintaining their high quality.
