Description of the project:

The project is being executed at the Maritza East III thermoelectric power plant in Bulgaria, located approximately 60 km southeast of Stara Zagora. The works proceed in the conditions of uninterrupted operation of the plant.

The project includes the following sub-projects:

• Two oily water treatment basins
• First flush rainfall water basin – overall dimensions: 35 m x 20 m, depth – about 4 m
• Lagoon collecting pit
• Buffer pond with a storage capacity of 30 000 cub.m. – a basin with soil bottom and embankments, and waterproofing of HDPE flexible geo-membrane
• Foundations for a dosing device for cooling water chemicals
• Repair of the foundations of the pump stations for purified and sluice water
• Various pipelines of HDPE, GRP and steel pipes

• Site grading and storm drainage to suit existing grade elevations and drainage
• Drainage water systems
• Buried yard piping connecting new utilities to existing ones

• Roadways, sidewalks, asphalt paving
• Landscaping
• Supply and installation of minor metal items: gratings, grids, meshes, small steel profiles
