Description of the project:

The joint project of Petrolvilla Group and Svoge Municipality envisages the construction of a cascade of 9 channeled hydropower plants along the river valley of Iskar River, situated in Svoge Municipality and partly in Mezdra Municipality, between the villages of Tompson and Gabrovnitza.

The construction of the cascade comprising of 9 hydropower plants with an installed capacity of 25 MW will be done at 3 stages. The first stage, i.e. the construction of micro hydropower plants "Svrazhen" and "Lakatnik", will be executed by Geotechmin OOD.

Conducted works:

• Earth works – 132,000 cub.m.
• Concrete works – 36,000 cub.m.
• Formwork – 24,600 sq.m.
• Reinforcement works – 670 tons

Technical and economical characteristics of the two hydropower plants:

• Installed capacity: 6 MW
• Average net productivity: 38 GWh/year
