Montana – Lom Project was Officially Commissioned

On December 21, 2009 the road Montana – Lom was officially put into operation with an opening ceremony. The project was funded under PHARE program, Bulgaria – Romania Cross border cooperation; project Rehabilitation of road II-81 from Montana to Lom, with contracting authority Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. Patstroy-92 AD, a company of the GEOTECHMIN group, carried out all the works. Construction activities were also assisted by other road companies within the group.

Basic parameters of the works on the fully renovated road:

Length of the rehabilitated area – 41 km
Completed foundations and backfilling – 32 300 sq.m.
Executed preliminary repair works – 134 190 sq.m.
Laid incompact asphalt profiling and equalizing payers – 68 285
Laid compact bituminous concrete for wearing layers – 36 750 t
Repairing works of bridges (facilities) – 1 560 sq.m.

Project value was Euro 7 450 000 million.
