The recultivation of tailings pond “Benkovski-I” is part of Ellatzite-Med’s program for elimination of past ecological damages. On June 16, 2009 the State Acceptance Committee summoned to accept the works carried out under subproject “Finalizing the recultivation of the slope and the coastline”. The works were executed by Geotechmin OOD.

The Committee unanimously established that the construction was carried out in conformity with the projects previously approved by the Interdepartmental Expert Committee to the Ministry of Environment and Water. It was ascertained that no harm to the surrounding environment was done, and all requirements of the Territory Structure Act were met.
