The road section on Simeonovsko Shose Blvd., repaired by Geotechmin’s subsidiary company Roads and Equipment EAD, was put into operation with an opening ceremony on August 13, 2009. The Bulgarian Prime-minister Boiko Borisov, Sofia’s acting mayor Minko Gerdjikov and the Minister of transport Alexander Tzvetkov were present at the opening ceremony.

After winning a tender announced by Sofia Municipality, on June 27, 2009 Roads and Equipment EAD started repair works on Simeonovsko Shose Blvd. at the road section between G.M.Dimitrov Blvd. and Sofia’s ring-road. The works included removal of pavement defects as well as cleaning and filling of road cracks, followed by complete covering with asphalt. Repairs of the existing curbs and sidewalks, and lifting of the underground installations were also carried out. The renovated section is 2800 m long. It is equipped with all the necessary facilities for use by disabled people.
