The International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) has published its 2008 annual newsletter TRIBUNE. The focus is on the underground construction in India where this year’s World Tunnel Congress and 34th ITA General Assembly is taking place.

The bulletin contains ITA Member Nations reports for the year 2007. The report on Bulgaria mainly describes the activities of Geotechmin OOD which is the only official Bulgarian member of the association. Geotechmin OOD is presented as a prospering private company and a leader in the specialized metro and tunnel construction in Bulgaria.

The report recognizes the active participation of Geotechmin OOD in the organization of various events in the field of underground engineering. In this way the Bulgarian construction company contributes to the cooperation between the business and the institutions both at national and international level. This will have a positive effect on the forthcoming creation of a national organization which will represent Bulgaria in ITA.
