In July 2007, on the occasion of the 170-th birthday anniversary of Vassil Levski, an impressive memorial complex with a grand statue of the Apostle of Liberty in its centre was open in “Galabec” region near the village of Bunovo. The sculpture of the great Bulgarian was made by Yordan Krachmarov and the overall design was provided by architect Atanasov. The idea and resources for the construction of this impressive monument of the Apostle of Liberty were donated by Geotechmin OOD and Ellatzite-Med AD. The memorial was inaugurated by the President of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov.
