A new molybdenum concentrate production unit will be soon put into operation at the flotation plant of Ellatzite-Med AD. The design will be provided by Geoproject EOOD.
In the period 1988-1990 molybdenum production was being carried out at “Ellatzite” but due to economical reasons it was stopped. Now, in view of the new market conditions created by the rise of metals prices, the management of Ellatzite-Med AD decided to restore the production of molybdenum concentrate. For that purpose, a thorough examination of the molybdenum content of ores obtained from copper mine “Ellatzite” was performed. As a result, a new technological scheme using Vemco inert gas floatation machines was accepted.
Owing to the resumption of the molybdenum production, the economic indices of the floatation complex in Mirkovo are expected to improve.
