Employer: Ellatzite-Med AD Designer: Geoproject EOOD Contractor: Geostroy EAD Project execution period: 2006 – 2009 Description of the project: The new primary crushing unit (KET-3) consists of a trestle, a transfer house supplied with a tension station and a transportation gallery. KET-3 is built of reinforced concrete and steel. The facility has a total built-up area of 820 sq.m. It is equipped with two crushers “Allis” and “Krupp” which are serviced by a crane with a hoisting capacity of 100/30 tons. The foundation was constructed on a solid ground using a 1800-mm thick foundation slab. The earthworks, necessary for reaching the elevation of the foundation (-26.75 m), were carried out by means of blasting. The foundation slab, columns, floor structures and walls are monolithic. The whole facility is built as a monolithic frame structure with multiple outsets and floors, and with walls, beams and columns that bear horizontal forces and vertical impacts. Conducted works:
