Helix EOOD was created in 1995. The company deals with core drilling, pile drilling and underground drilling; engineering-geological surveys; geological prospecting of mineral resources; development of projects for permit issuance for prospecting and exploration activities; exploration and extraction of ground waters. The company has highly qualified personnel as well as the necessary equipment for the performance of its main activities. The specialists working with Helix EOOD are members of the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design in Bulgaria and have full design qualification in accordance with the Law on the Chambers of Architects and Engineers in Investment Design. One currently ongoing project is the execution of geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling at “Ellatzite” mine. These activities are part of the program of Ellatzite-Med for the examination of the mine slopes stability. At “Distillers groups No.9 and No.3” site of Solvay-Sodi AD in Devnia, Helix successfully completed drilling works and casting of foundation piles with a diameter of 600 mm. Helix EOOD owns the concession rights for extraction of vermiculite. The geological prospecting carried out by the company has proved that there are more than 1.5 million tons of raw vermiculite in the “Livade” deposit in the village of Belitsa, Ichtiman municipality. The concession period is 20 years and the concession area – 538 decares.
