Since accession of Bulgaria to the European Union, Geotechmin OOD has realized the necessity to adopt new managerial practices, and to improve its quality management system. In August 2008, the company started developing an integrated management system (IMS) which encompasses the standards ISO 9001:2008 (quality), ISO 14001:2004 (environment) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (occupational health and safety). This IMS was successfully completed and officially introduced in May 2009. Geotechmin believes that the implementation of the system will lead to more effective management of all company processes.
