Description of the project:

Geotechmin OOD was selected as the major subcontractor of STRABAG AG - Austria for the construction works related to the vertical planning and the access roads to the new passenger terminal of Sofia Airport.

Conducted works:

• Demolition of existing asphalt and concrete pavements – 20,000 sq.m.
• Excavation works – 93,000 cub.m.
• Filling works – 302,800 cub.m.
• Execution of frost-protection layer on a part of the taxiways and roads – 59,600 cub.m.
• Execution of crushed aggregate base coarse on the roads – 48,500 cub.m.
• Sub-surface drainage – 2,500 m
• Pavement of sidewalks – 24,200 sq.m.
• Kerbs – 12,595 m
• Topsoiling – 33,900 cub.m.
• Grassing – 18,500 sq.m.
