Description of the project:

This project occupies a central place in the Global Investment Program of Umicore Med AD for removal of old environmental damages. ОЕС-Belgium is the general contractor; Geotechmin OOD is the main sub-contractor.

Conducted works:

Excavation works, landscaping, drainage of surface waters, technical recultivation and consequent biological recultivation, as follows:

• Excavated slag – 102,200 cub.m.
• Embankment technical recultivation – 58,000 cub.m.
• Embankment soil and topsoil – 48,500 cub.m.
• Pipe culvert with diameter 500 mm and surface drainage ditches – 1,150 m
• Reinforced concrete fence – 1,700 m
• Grassing by tree mixes and bio-blankets – 139 decares
• Erection of piezometers with depth 18 m – 3 pcs.
